What’s a good Mountain bike for a woman buying her first bike?
hiketobike asked:
I'm looking for a good bike for myself to do some mountain biking in Vermont. I'm fairly aggressive, but won't be doing any 8 ft drops or anything like that...but I certainly won't be just meandering through dirt paths. I'm fairly new as I've only been using friends old beat up bikes. Any suggestions for a good bike for a woman with moderate aggressiveness yet fairly new to mountain biking?

I’ve had a Trek for years; I don’t do mountain biking but it is a good quality, sturdy bike.

Start looking at hardtail bikes in the 800 dollar and up pricerange. Kona, Specialized, Trek, Gary Fisher, Scott, Giant, GT and others make great bikes. Do some research and then hit a few bike shops and see what they advise…..test ride a few and you’ll be carving in no time…
