Personally I would start with one that has a frame and two wheels first. BUT.......
This depends on what part of the country you are in.... The best bang for your buck? Try Performance bike.com and look there (clearance priced Iron horse bikes or lower end GT or Mongoose) or you can try Pricepoint.com and look at sette brand (house brand). You dont get alot in a MTB for $300 ....Hardtail is it! Unless you go to Wal mart and then you arent even buying a bike anyway... keep it in the bike shop at least and if you cant find anything in your price point then wait!- save some more $ and get into the $4-500 dollar range!</description>
