I don’t think so. I just use a lightly oiled rag to clean my bike frame.

  2. you can use a mild degreaser but make sure to re lube the chain

  3. I just use light oil – keeps any corrosion to a minimum. But yes you can use any polish or wax too.

  4. I’ve heard many people recommend Pledge as a bike polish. You can buy name brand products like Bike Lust or something from Pedro’s but Pledge should be fine. If you don’t like it just wash it off with a little soapy water.

  5. I’ve always kinda liked the sheen that my own blood seems to give to my bike. Or the blood of my competitors. ;o)

Pledge would be fine, but a more durable car wax or synthetic polish would be better. If you use a spray can polish/wax, just be sure to put it on a rag and wipe the bike with it…..don’t spray it directly on the bike or you’re sure to contaminate your brakes eventually.
